Georgiana Raeleen (Jones) Garrod

Georgiana Raeleen Garrod, 53, of Mt. Vernon, IL (formerly of Wayne City, IL) passed away Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at White Oak Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, IL.

She is survived by her son Gary Garrod of Mt. Vernon, IL; 3 brothers:  Michael (Brenda) Jones of Louisville, KY; Howard (Robin) Jones of Centralia, IL and Kenneth (Terra) Jones of Mascoutah, IL; a sister Jackie (Jeff) Smith of Wayne City, IL; 3 aunts, 2 uncles, 15 nieces & nephews, and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Jackie Jones and her mother Shelvia Jones (Winemiller) and her grandparents.

Georgiana was one of the most kind and giving people you could ever meet and she was loved dearly by those who knew her.

Funeral services for Georgiana Garrod will be held at a later date.  The Young Funeral Home in Wayne City is assisting the family with arrangements.
