Chester "Eddie" Cooper

Chester Edwin “Eddie” Cooper Jr., 63, of Wayne City, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his home in Wayne City.

Eddie was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on January 9, 1959 the son of Chester Edwin Cooper Sr. and Mary Ann (Musgrave) Cooper (Williams).  Eddie lived in Florida for many years, where he operated a septic business.  He returned back to Illinois a few years ago, and resided in Wayne City.  He will be missed by friends and family.

Eddie is survived by one aunt Joan Braddock of Wayne City, a step-brother Mike Williams of Pensacola, FL, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Edwin “Ed” Cooper Sr., a sister Tracy Lynn Cooper, and his grandparents: Chester & Venita Cooper of Mt. Vernon, IL and Marshall & Florene Musgrave of Wayne City, IL.

Graveside funeral services for Chester Edwin “Eddie” Cooper Jr. will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL with Rev. Richard McCormick officiating.  The services will be a combined graveside service for both Eddie and his mother, Mary Williams.  Those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
