Diane (Clark) Feather

Diane (Clark) Feather, 91, of Wayne City, IL passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL.  Diane was born on July 2, 1932 in Carmi, IL to Harry & Inez (Cariens) Clark.  On November 26, 1953 she married Olen W. Feather, who preceded her in death on August 3, 2005.

Diane was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.  She was also a member of the Arrington Prairie “Bailey” General Baptist Church in Wayne County, IL.  Diane was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and loved to watch Cardinals baseball games.  She also enjoyed reading and watching classic television shows.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Diane is survived by son Nick (Barbara) Feather of Wayne City, son Kenneth Feather of Wayne City, daughter Rita Swan of Mt. Vernon, IL; and son Gary W. Feather of Wayne City; 7 grandchildren: Jill (Kyle) Campbell, Cathy (Ben) Blair, Mark (Bianca) Feather, Randall (Renee) Feather, Brandi Jo Swift, Jeremy Swan, and Jeffrey (Cassie) Swan; 11 great grandchildren, sister Karen Bruns of Defiance, MO; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry & Inez Clark, her husband Olen W. Feather, a brother Mike Clark, son-in-law Dale Swan, and family member Alice Mayberry.

A celebration of life service for Diane (Clark) Feather will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL with Bro. Rob Greenwalt officiating.  Graveside services and interment will follow immediately after the celebration of life service at Hopewell Cemetery in Wayne City, IL.
