Jacob Dale Hunt

Jacob Dale Hunt, 28, of Boyleston, IL passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Jacob was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on February 2, 1995 to his parents Brett Hunt and Jamie Hinn.  Jacob loved the outdoors, and loved being outside.  He loved fishing and riding bikes, and he loved his family.

Jacob is survived by his father Brett Hunt, his mother Jamie Hinn, a brother Tyler Hunt, a sister Skylan Hunt, a grandmother Jerrilyn Scarbrough, an uncle Kyle Hunt, an aunt Shalaunda McCulley, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather Wayne “Weiner” Scarbrough, a brother Travis Hunt, and great grandparents Virgil & Verdean Hunt.

Funeral services for Jacob Dale Hunt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL with Pastor Travis Hayes officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Young Funeral Home.  Everyone attending is encouraged to dress casually.  After the service, a private family burial ceremony will be held at Baltimore Cemetery in Wayne City at a later date.
