Judith “Judy” Ann Matthews, 80, of Johnsonville, IL passed away at her home on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Johnsonville, IL.
Judy was born May 4, 1941 in Keenes, IL to her parents Rufus and Altress (Rapp) Youngblood.
Judy worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 50 years, having worked at various nursing homes in the area. She was a member of The Rock Community Church in Boyleston, IL. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and taking care of children.
Judy is survived by a daughter Camelia (Barry) McKinney of Johnsonville, a son Curtis Sutton of Sims, 3 stepsons: Joe Matthews of Cisne, Don Matthews of Cisne, Warren Matthews of Carbondale, 13 grandchildren: Jordan McKinney, Shawn McKinney of Johnsonville, Nathan (Tiffany) Blasdel of Wayne City, Joshua Blasdel of Georgia, Elizabeth (Jason) Frazier of Wayne City, Devyn Sutton & Jazmyn Sutton of Johnsonville, Jodi Churchill of Flora, Shaunna Buckman of Tennessee, Jill Reed of Cisne, Joseph Matthews of Cisne, Traci Matthews, and Joani Matthews, 2 brothers: Rufus Junior (Cheri) Youngblood of Bluford and Dennis (Diane) Youngblood of Keenes, 2 sisters: Sally Riley of Johnsonville and Sue (Charles) Keele of Ravenna, OH, and her pet & companion “Mikey.”
She was preceded in death by both parents, her first husband Paul Lovin, her second husband Harold Gene Matthews, a daughter Kareene Blasdel, and 6 brothers: Joe, Benny, Jimmy, Gene, Marsh, and Perry.
A Memorial Service for Judith “Judy” Ann Matthews will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at The Rock Community Church in Boyleston, IL with Shannon Hinkle officiating.
A graveside interment service will be held at a later date.
