Lois Jean (Ritchason) Deen

Lois Jean Deen, 75, a resident of Dale, IL passed away on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born February 16th, 1943 in McLeansboro, IL to Harrison and Bessie (Craddock) Ritchason.  Lois was a retired Director of the Hamilton County Housing Authority and of the protestant faith.

Lois is survived by her husband,  Ronald Albert “Ron” Deen of Dale IL; a daughter, Darla Bassetti (Roberson) and husband Nick of Sarasota, FL; 2 sons: Dean Roberson & wife Katrina of McLeansboro  and Matthew Deen & wife Amy of McLeansboro; 7 grandchildren: Kassandra Rider, Nicholas Bassetti, Alex Bassetti, Dacin Roberson, Ellie Deen, Hallie Deen, and Hank Deen; a sister Elsie (husband Larry)  Launius; a brother Danny (wife Lynda) Ritchason; and several nieces & nephews also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28th, 2018 at 10 am at the First General Baptist Church in McLeansboro, with Rev. Eric Ragan officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 27th from 5 pm until 8 pm at the First General Baptist Church.  She will be laid to rest in the Hebron Cemetery in Walpole.  The Young Funeral Home of Wayne City is in charge of the arrangements.
