Lucinda (Cindy) G. (Stauffer) Weaver

Lucinda (Cindy) G. Weaver, 498 County Road 1500N Johnsonville, IL 62850, was born June 25, 1946 in Ephrata, PA.  On December 3, 2020, at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 8 days, angels gently carried Cindy HOME to be with her Savior.

She was a member of the Orchardville Mennonite Church.  She was the daughter of the late Adam R. and Nancy (Gingerich) Stauffer.  She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Mervin Weaver.

She was loved and will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters:  Lori, wife of Jeff Cooley of North East, PA and Lucia, wife of Brent Lapp of Carpenter, WY; 1 son Loren, husband to Juanita (Rohrer) Weaver, of Johnsonville, IL; 2 brothers:  Leon Stauffer and Elias (Mary) Stauffer, both of PA; one sister Violet, wife of Leonard Martin of Lebanon, PA; one step-brother Frank (Marilyn) Martin of Guatemala, one step-sister Rachel, wife of Carl Martin of Lebanon, PA; 25 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Elizabeth Stauffer, one son Daryl Weaver, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters:  Joanna Zimmerman and husband Noah, and Erma Martin and husband Phares, and one sister-in-law Mary Jane Stauffer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Orchardville Mennonite Church in Keenes, IL from 1 pm – 3 pm, with a 1-hour intermission, and visitation will resume from 4 pm – 7 pm.   

Funeral services for Lucinda (Cindy) G. Weaver will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Orchardville Mennonite Church in Keenes, IL.  Interment will follow the funeral service at the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Orchardville Mennonite Church  and will be accepted at the church or at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL which is assisting with the arrangements.
