Ralph Edward Stone

Ralph “Stoney” Edward Stone, 64, a resident of Norris City, IL and formerly of Wayne City, IL passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Haubstadt, IN.

He was born July 18, 1956 in Fairfield, IL to Ralph & Jessie (Talbert) Stone.

He worked as a mechanic for Palmer Group Kenworth in Evansville, IN and previously worked for Country Mark at Wayne City.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching open wheel & stock car racing.  He enjoyed spending time and visiting with his family, friends, and his dog Jessie, who was almost always by his side.

He is survived by a son Shaun Stone of Casper, WY; 2 sisters: Linda Tibbs of Fairfield, IL and Diana Kissner of Wayne City, 2 nephews: Michael “Tony” Rister and Bryan Kissner, a niece Jamie Wheeler, a special friend Linda West Warren, and her grandchildren Rhian, Walker, and Willow.

He was preceded in death by both parents, a half brother Bud Stone, and a nephew Ralph Alvin Jr.

A visitation service for Ralph “Stoney” Edward Stone will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL.  In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
