Randall Lee Gammon, 69, of Keenes, IL passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at his home. Randall was born on December 27, 1954 in Fairfield, IL to Junior Gammon & Hester (Richards) Gammon. He worked most of his life as a logger for various timber companies.
Randall was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and training his beagles to hunt rabbits. He enjoyed visiting and talking with his friends and family.
Randall is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Travis) Flora of Mt. Vernon, IL; his son Trinity Gammon of Mt. Vernon, and his daughter Alli Matthews of Mt. Vernon; 2 grandchildren: Alyssa Ettleson of Mt. Vernon and Kaylee Ettleson of Terre Haute, IN; a sister Sherry Greene of Bluford, IL; a brother Nick Gammon of Wayne City, IL; a half-brother, 2 half-sisters, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents Junior & Hester Gammon, a brother Tommy Gammon, a sister Judy Warren, and a half-brother Jay Gammon.
A memorial service for Randall Lee Gammon will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City with Pastor Andy May officiating. A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, and interment will take place in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, and will be accepted at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City.
