Richard Allen Shook

Richard “Rick” Allen Shook (78) of rural Keenes, IL died in the comfort of his home Friday, May 18th, 2018.

He was a farmer, and also worked at Airtex in Fairfield, IL and at the gas plant in Keenes, IL.  He retired at the age of 61.  He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.

Rick was born December 20th, 1939 to Lowell and Freida Shook.  On June 20th, 1959 he married Deloris Rainwater.

Rick is survived by his wife Deloris Shook, a son Troy (wife Kim) Shook, a daughter Christina (husband Terry) Neff, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers:  Doug (wife Connie) Shook, Terry Shook, and Brett Feather; 3 sisters:  Teresa (husband Kent) Staggs, Gayle Feather, and Cindy (husband Rick) Brubaker; and his stepfather LaVern Feather.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lowell Shook and Freida Feather.

Visitation will be held from 10 am – 12 noon on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday at Young Funeral Home, followed by burial at Zion Cemetery near Keenes, IL.
