Sandra Kay Fenton

Sandra Kay Fenton, 64, of Sims, IL went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at her home peacefully with her loving husband RaGene at her side.

Sandra was born on June 9, 1959 in East St. Louis, IL and is the daughter of the late Mary Spink and Donald Rice.

Sandra married RaGene Fenton on July 31, 2000 in Paducah, KY.  She cherished their 23 years together.  She loved doing crafts, she loved life, she loved her family, and she loved to shop!

Sandra is survived by her husband RaGene Fenton of Sims, IL; a daughter Stacey Hargrove of Mt. Vernon, IL; and 2 sons: Tony Hargrove and wife Jamie of Boyd, IL and Jordan Povis and wife Aiden of Wood River, IL; 3 sisters: Sharon Anderson and husband Keith of Ava, IL; Debbie Patton of St. James, MO and Diedre Hussey and husband Robert of St. James, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is also survived by 3 stepsons: Joshua Fenton and wife Jenny of Summersville, IL; Shannon Fenton of Raleigh, NC and Leyth and Kelsey Fenton of Bluford, IL.  She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald Rice, her mother Mary Spink, stepfather George Spink, grandparents Henry & Pearl Isaacs, a sister Barbara Ann Rice, and several aunts.

A public visitation for Sandra Kay Fenton will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL.  In accordance with Sandra's wishes, her body will be cremated afterwards.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be made to assist with final expenses, and may be made to RaGene Fenton.  Memorials will be accepted at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City.
